Harriet Louise Beck, 96, of Antis Township, died early Friday morning at her home. She was born in Bellwood, a daughter of the late Arthur Allen Sr. and Ruth Irene (Campbell) Boyles.
On Oct. 13, 1947, she married Wade C. Beck Jr. in Hagerstown, Md. He preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 2002.
Surviving are her five children: Ruth (Tom) Gehrdes of Altoona, Holly (Bryan) Fink of Flinton, Terry of Altoona, Daryl (Paula) of Altoona and David of Bellwood; 15 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and three sisters: Pat Bush, Roxanne Miller and Lucille Walk.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Beck; her siblings: Art Boyles Jr., Maxine Walters and (infant) Marvin; and a daughter-in-law, Joan.
Louise was a member of Logan's Valley Baptist Church, Bellwood.
She enjoyed watching television, doing yard work, caring for her cats and volunteering with the foster grandparent program. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2025, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Randy Zitterbart officiating. Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
The family suggests that contributions in her memory be made to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
