George Roy Leedy, 82, of Altoona, died Sunday afternoon, March 2, 2025, at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, a son of the late Leah Chilcote Fleck and Roy Leedy and the stepson of Robert Fleck.
He married Millicent I. "Penny" Cutshall on June 30, 1984.
Surviving are his wife, Penny; two daughters, Wendy (Dan) and Diane (Bob); four stepchildren, Tracey (Shawn), Marcia (Darryl), Scoot and Brady (Tammy); two grandchildren; step grandchildren: Aaron (Ally), Rebecca, Ryan (Julia), Rick (DeAnna), Travis (Nikki), Stefany (Mikal), Kacy (Matt), Michael, Alex, Mara, Scott and Jenica; a great-grandson, Nolan; nine step great-grandchildren: Leiya, Skyla, Paityn, Kaysen, Kolton, Clara, Beckham, Ridge and Josephine; two half-brothers, Roy Allen and David; and his ex-wife, Jane Lonsinger.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Leedy; and a half-brother, Rick.
He was a 1961 graduate of Altoona High School.
Roy retired as a warehouse manager from Coca-Cola of Ebensburg and drove a school bus and van for STA.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2025, at Second Avenue Global Methodist Church, 130 Second Ave., Altoona, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Brian Sandell officiating. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
