Donna Jean Thomas, 83, of Tyrone, passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of the late Jesse B. and Ellen K. (Wicker) Banks.
On Dec. 8, 1972, she married John R. Thomas, who preceded her in death.
She leaves behind her children: Dodie Serafini, Douglas (Shanna), Gary Joe Gordon and Brenda (Harry) Waite; stepchildren, Deborah Green and John R. Jr.; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was the last of her immediate family.
Donna loved to share her creativity with others and had a knack for interior design and landscaping. She loved her home and her large, loving family most.
Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. until noon Monday, March 3, 2025, at Church of the Good Shepherd, Tyrone. A funeral service will follow, with Pastor Ron Baker officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Logan Valley Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone.
