David D. Kuhar, 67, Ebensburg, passed away Thursday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Johnstown, son of the late Joseph and Oscie (Switzer) Kuhar. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Susan (Chanonich); and numerous cousins and special friends.
David was a graduate of Laurel Valley High School and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
He was a member of the Tri-State PGA Board of Directors, USGA Public Links National Committee, USGA Senior National Committee and Ebensburg Borough. He also served as past president of West Penn Golf Association.
Dave was a golf pro at Chestnut Ridge Golf Course, Sinking Valley Country Club and Ebensburg Country Club. Also, he was a four-time winner of the Merchandiser of the Year Award for the Tri-State Section of PGA.
Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2025, at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Johnstown, where a funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 10, 2025, at the funeral home, with Father Brian L. Warchola officiating. Interment will be at Armagh Cemetery.
