Carol JoAnne Gensamer, 84, Tyrone, passed away Friday.
She was born in Tyrone, daughter of the late Paul R. and Bertha (Grazier) Bonsell. On Nov. 30, 1985, she married Timothy Gensamer in Tonawanda, N.Y.
Surviving is her husband, with almost 40 years together; a daughter, Penny Mullen (Ralph); sons, Will Jones (Lisa) and Drew Gensamer; grandchildren: Cody, Cory, Carys, Sara, Abby, Ira, Ellis, Nevan, Alex, Maddie, Emma and Nora; and great-grandchildren: Olivia, Isaac, Sophia, Ruby Day and Lleyn. She also leaves behind her sweet little dog, Laci.
She was preceded in death by her son, Adam Gensamer; and her two sisters, Wanda Turiano and Jeanne Rutledge.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Tyrone. Service and burial will be held privately at a later date.
According to Carol's wishes, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Blair County Central PA Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16601.
