Mark D. Dodson, 59, of Claysburg, passed away at home Sunday. He was born in Roaring Spring, the son of Audrey Jean (Shaw) Dodson and the late John W. Dodson.
He married Gail L. Cavender, who passed away Feb. 9, 2005. He then married Andrea Rupert on Nov. 1, 2010, in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Surviving are his wife; children: Daphney Bolen, Britiney Moor, Benjamin Dodson (Katelyn Bauer), James Dodson, Samuel Dodson, Mitchell Dodson and Gavin Dodson; grandchildren, Lila and Jack; and sisters, Cheryl Beckham and Karen Claar.
He was preceded in death by his former in-laws, Richard and Miriam Louise Cavender.
Mark was a 1983 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School and Penn Tech in Williamsport with an associate degree in electrical engineering.
He was employed by Diebold for more than 25 years and currently had been working with Wittenbach for the past three years.
Mark enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting. He cherished his time at the hunting camp. He could always be found tinkering and fixing things.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, at the funeral home, with Pastor Erik
Lingenfelter officiating. Interment at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
