Janet L. (Daughenbaugh) Reed, 83, of Altoona, died Wednesday. She was born in Detroit, Mich., daughter of the late Jesse and Violet (Lytle) Daughenbaugh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, in 1982 after 26 years of marriage; a son, David; a grandson, Zachary; and a fiance, Danny Fortson. Surviving are her children: Lori Reed (Johnny), Amy Reed, Frank, Mark and Randy; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Daughenbaugh. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
