Eileen M. Forsythe

Eileen married Donald T. Forsythe, who preceded her in death on April 22, 1982.

She is survived by her four children: Gail L. Douty (Bruce) of Ebensburg, Brent L. Forsythe (Diann) and Guy M. Forsythe (Michele), all of Patton, and Rex. A. Forsythe of Dysart; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Gloria Sellers of Duncansville; and her dog, Sammy.

Eileen was preceded in death by her two brothers, Ed and Ken Hofer.

She was a graduate of Patton High School and had been a cafeteria employee at Cambria Heights.

Eileen enjoyed volunteering at Van Zandt VA Medical Center.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2716 Broad Ave., Altoona, with Father James Dugan, celebrant.

Committal will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Patton.

Arrangements are by The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona.
