With deepest sorrow, we announce the death of Dorothy "Elaine" Wilkinson, better known as Elaine, who passed away peacefully on Jan. 24, 2025.
Born on Aug. 4, 1945, Elaine lived a fulfilling life, characterized by her enduring love for family and dedication to her personal passions and community.
Survived by her devoted husband, John Wilkinson, Elaine's legacy will live on through her beloved daughters, Dana Wilkinson and Debbie Stacey, and her nurturing son-in-law, Brian Stacey. Her unfaltering spirit will forever be remembered by her
doting grandsons, Daniel and Jonathan Stacey and Thomas and Samuel Slatosky.
Elaine will fondly be remembered for her selflessness both in her personal and community life. As an active volunteer at Relay For Life, her dedication to service was admirable. Her spiritual devotion was witnessed at New Salem United Methodist Church in Randleman, N.C., where she was a cherished attendee. Her creativity knew no bounds, as evident in her love for crocheting, quilting, painting and drawing. These recreational activities not only served as a testament to her artistic talents, but also presented a window into her soul, reflecting her patient and meticulous nature. Kind, generous and loving, Elaine had an irresistible aura that warmed everyone around her. She taught those who had the pleasure of knowing her invaluable lessons about forgiveness and love.
Among her greatest accomplishments, which she cherished deeply, was raising her loving family, who will strive to keep her memory alive and emulate her virtues. Elaine's departure leaves a void in our hearts, but her love, kindness, and the beautiful memories she leaves behind will forever be a source of comfort and strength. She has set down her burdens and taken up her rewards. She will be deeply missed.
