Charles Ira "Sonny" Wasilko, 83, of Blandburg, died Wednesday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona. He was born in Windber, a son of the late Charles I. and Clara Z. Wasilko. He is survived by his wife, the former Martha Marlin; five children: Sandra Schirf, Karen Miller, Lori Smeal, Charles Wasilko Jr. and Richard Wasilko; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, and on Sunday from noon until the 2 p.m. services, all at the McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow.
