Susan Marie Bauer

She married John E. Bauer on May 16, 1953, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona. He preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 2016, after 63 years of marriage.

Also preceding her in death were siblings: Herman Fedeli, Vera Johns, Helen Cardone, Alfred Fedeli, Yolanda Damiano and Rocky Fedeli; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Surviving are her four children: John Bauer Jr. (Sandy Leib) of Annville, Dana Anne (Mike) Miller, Mike Bauer and Joe Bauer, all of Altoona; two granddaughters, Miranda (John) Foltz and Makenzie (Travis) Miller-Williams; three great-grandchildren: Blase, Brennan and Blakely Miller; a sister-in-law, Rosemarie Fedeli; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Susan was a 1946 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School and retired in 1991 as a maintenance worker at Penn State Altoona.

She was a wonderful homemaker and liked to cook and bake. She was known for her kindness and hospitality.

Susan was a member of The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona.

She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends and relatives. She liked watching old classic movies and sporting events, especially Penguins hockey games. Susan was an avid reader and enjoyed a good cup of tea.
