Nancy M. Stout, 98, Altoona, passed away Friday evening at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Russel T. and Margaret W. (Beals) Grove.
On May 15, 1946, she married Robert R. Stout. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2002.
She is survived by two sons, Robert P. and Franklin R., both of Altoona; grandchildren: Brian (Kim), Jody (Eric), Patrick (Erin), Jason (Hannah), Daniel and Amber (Seth); great-grandchildren: Ryann, Jocelyn, Zoey, Graham, Kade, Jace, Finn, Reese, Thalia, Gryfinn, Cameron and Liliana; and a sister, Margaret J. Goodman. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Sydney Grove; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Gene B. Grove; daughter-in-law, Patricia Stout; and a brother-in-law, A. Raymond Goodman.
Nancy worked as a teacher’s aide at Eldorado Grade School.
She attended Bethany Lutheran Church and was a member of Eastern Star.
Nancy volunteered at Fort Roberdeau and enjoyed baking and sewing.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., 719 N. Fourth Ave., Altoona.
