Geraldine R. Lloyd

Geraldine R. Lloyd, 96, of Irvona, passed away at home Thursday. She was born in Berwinsdale, the ninth of 10 children to Thomas E. and Irene (Wiley) Bishop.
She was first married to Jack E. Dimmick, who died as a result of a motor vehicle accident in 1950. In 1968, she married Wendell W. Lloyd, who passed away in 1996.
She is survived by four children: Margaret of Irvona, Clair (Teresa) in Florida, Mary (Allen) Bricker of Houtzdale and Don (Diane) of Irvona. She had eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed the frequent visits by her great-great-grandchildren: Derek Parenti, Zackary Dimmick and Braxtyn Dimmick.
She was preceded in death by both husbands; six sisters: Betty, Edna, Magdalene, Ruby, Josephine and Pearl; three brothers: Robert, Paul and Carl; two grandsons, John and Philip Dimmick; granddaughter, Lorie Hewitt; and great-granddaughter, Megan Bricker.
She worked at Campo Slack Factory, Hawkins Lunch Bar in Houtzdale, IRACA Restaurant in Madera, Hunter Pro Hardware and at Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc. in Irvona as a secretary.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., Irvona.
The service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Corner officiating.
