Elsie F. Bougher

She married Gary K. Bougher. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2014.

Surviving are her two daughters, Karen (Bud) Keller of Antis Township and Kim Gates of Bellwood; three grandchildren: Phillip “Todd” (Kate) Ricketts, Kristen (Tommy) Anglin and Megan (Craig) Limbert; three great-grandchildren: Abby DeArmitt, Jake Ricketts and Hunter Anglin; and former son-in-law, Pat Gates.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Pinkerman and Dorothy Kovalyk.

Elsie retired from the maintenance department at PPG, Tipton, after 22 years of service.

Following their retirement, she and her husband moved to North Carolina, where they enjoyed fishing on the piers. While in North Carolina, she was active with the Bolivia Lions Club, serving three years as treasurer, and was also involved with her church.

After returning to Pennsylvania in 2001, she became a member of Grazierville United Methodist Church, where she served on the board of trustees and contributed to the remodeling of the church. She helped in organizing many church functions and was also a volunteer for Angel Food Ministries.

Elsie’s greatest joys were fishing, baseball (especially the Altoona Curve), baking pies, crafting and spending time with her beloved dogs, Zoey and Cassie.

To honor Elsie’s wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of her family.

Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.

Arrangements are by Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood.

The family suggests that contributions in her memory be made to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
