Merle Perry ‘Chip’ Wagner

Merle Perry “Chip” Wagner, 79, of Altoona, died Wednesday. He was born in Beacon, N.Y., son of the late Merle and Eleanor (Weeks) Wagner. Chip was preceded in death by his wife, Edith; and four great-grandchildren. Surviving are children: James (Renee), Thomas (Melissa), Melissa Beam (Shawn) and Melinda Fogal (Robert); grandchildren: Alexander, Patricia, Victoria, Zachary, Elizabeth, Emma, Brianna and Joseph; and a sister, Helen Warren. At the family’s request, there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements are by The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, PA 16602.
