Janet Louise Lear

Janet Louise Lear, 78, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Armagh, passed away Monday at home. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of Paul A. and Minnie Mae (Hughes) Grannas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and loving husband, Robert N. Lear, in 2020.
Janet is survived by her loving children: Lisa, married to Jim Porter of Scottdale; and Brad, married to the former Shannon Commesso of Hollidaysburg; grandchildren: Jacob and Olivia Porter; Hannah, married to Michael Davis; and Rylee, Sydney and Kamryn Lear; and a brother, Samuel Grannas (Emily) of Hollidaysburg.
Janet was a loyal and devoted Christian, having been a member of Armagh Methodist Church.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren most of all. She also enjoyed crafting, arranging flowers as a florist, reading, audio books and she loved making fires.
Janet was a graduate of Williamsburg High School and Hagerstown Medical College.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family.
Friends will be received at a Celebration of Life visitation from 1 to 3 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 7, 2024, at Jon A. Meese Funeral Home, Seward.
Private interment at a later date.
