Sasha Foltynewicz Macfarlane, 33, passed away Oct. 4, 2024, in Asheville, N.C. She was born in Charleston, S.C. Surviving are her parents, John Foltynewicz and Tina Reighard-Foltynewicz; brother, Thomas Foltynewicz; grandmother, Jean Reighard; an uncle, Chris; and aunt, Shelly Reighard. Sasha loved being in nature, cooking, art, music, writing and creating. As her name indicates, she was a defender and helper of mankind. Friends will be received from 9:15 to 9:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, at The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, One Cathedral Square, Altoona. A funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m.
