Keagahn P. “KP” “Keag Machine” Smith-Price, 16, of Altoona, died unexpectedly late Sunday evening, Oct. 27, 2024, in Bedford County as the result of an automobile accident. He was born in Altoona, a son of Dustyn P. Price and Kassandra R. Gates.

Surviving are his mother, Kassandra R. Gates; his father, Dustyn P. Price (Emily); paternal siblings: Grayson (8), Jaysa (7), Zander (5), Caispan (5) and Laithen (2); his cousin, Amiradama Smith Banks; paternal grandfather, Harry Price; uncles: Kevin Price, Shawn Price, Parris Smith, and Christopher Gibson; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members; Ce’lestine Gibson; and special friends, Neveah (Dineen) and Steven.

Keagahn was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Christine M. Smith; his paternal grandmother, Keri A. Race; his maternal aunt, Destiny M. Gibson; his paternal uncle, Ryan P. Price; and a cousin, Blaise DeJesus.

Keagahn was a sophomore student at Altoona Area High School, where he was a member of the football team.

He enjoyed playing baseball for the East End Youth Baseball League, hanging out with his friends, listening to music and dancing, fishing, gaming, animals, motorcycles and going to the Altoona Library.

Keagahn enjoyed tinkering with mechanics, and he in fact wanted to attend the mechanics program at the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center.

He especially enjoyed competing in the “Blair County Fittest Teen” contest; volunteering at the Mishler Theatre, where he assisted with the stage crew and set production; and volunteering at Second Chance Strays Cat Rescue and Lounge.

He was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan.

Keagahn was a beautiful soul who made people feel important, no matter who they were.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, where a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m.
