Alan Francis Eberhart, 39, passed away Tuesday in Jacksonville, Fla.

Alan is survived by his beloved wife, Krysti (Banyash) Eberhart; and their two precious children, Henry and Julie. Alan was also blessed with a loving family: his parents, Scott and Mickie (Beichner) Eberhart; siblings: Toby (Megan) Eberhart, Gregory (Erica) Eberhart and Emily (Joe) Eberhart; and a large extended family of many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Alan was a kind, thoughtful and generous man and the very best Daddy to his two young children.

He was a graduate of Penn Cambria High School and the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned a bachelor’s degree from the Pitt School of Business.

Alan was a veteran of the Afghanistan War, where he served with honor as a United States Army Captain assigned to the Special Operations Command.

He was a dedicated member and volunteer at his local church.

Family, especially his children, were at the center of his world.

Alan enjoyed cooking, golfing, was an avid gardener, skilled handyman and loved his ongoing jiu-jitsu training.

Prior to his passing, Alan was supported by his loving family and a wonderful group of VA health professionals.

In loving memory of Alan, his family asks that everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him extend an act of kindness to another.
