Nancy Jane Garber

Nancy Jane Garber, 71, of Tyrone, died Monday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Harold E. Sr. and Betty (Gensamer) Grager.
She was married in January 1971 to Daniel D. Garber Jr.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Daniel, of Tyrone; sons, Ronald Garber (Buffy) in Tennessee and Jason Garber (Amy) of Altoona; grandchildren: Lindsey, Jenna, Devon, Brooklyn and Derrick; great-grandchildren: Stetson, Madelyn, Avery and Liliana; a special friend, Rose Cambridge; her siblings: Harold E. “Hank” Grager Jr. (Lynette), Judy Grager Carson and Patty McCulloch (Rick); and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Chad; brother, Richard; and sister, Mary.
Nancy had worked at Jostens Yearbook for many years.
She loved taking bus trips to various places of interest. Nancy also enjoyed bingo, taking trips to Tennessee and making blankets for veterans.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Friends will be received from 6 until the 8 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, at Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
