Dorsey L. Shaw

Dorsey married Joyce Cowher on June 6, 1959, in Tyrone.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Joyce; a son, Jeff Shaw, and his wife, Holly, and a grandson, Steven Shaw, of Newark, Del.; two daughters, Stephanie Eckart and her husband, Tim, of Middletown, Va., and Ashley of Cookeville, Tenn.; and a stepgranddaughter, Erin Fisher, of Newark, Del.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine; and a baby brother, Alan, at birth.

Dorsey retired as a tractor trailer driver at Consolidated Freightways.

He served in the Pennsylvania National Guard for seven and a half years.

His hobbies included hunting, bowling and being outdoors.

At Dorsey’s request, there will be no public viewing. Private interment will be at Bald Eagle Cemetery, Tyrone, at the convenience of the family.
