Trenda Carol Richards, 53, Bellwood, passed away on Friday.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Christopher and Madelyn (Fleck) Richards.
Surviving are a special companion, Phil Johnson; two brothers, Chris (Jill) and Dave (Joan) Richards; nieces and nephews: Matt, Krista, Katelyn, Courtney, Travis, Valerie and Ashley; numerous great-nieces and nephews; an aunt, Mary Thompson; and two cousins, Dixie Parsons and Jackie Burns.
She was a 1989 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and a 1993 graduate of Altoona Hospital School of Nursing, where she earned her registered nurse's license. She worked as an RN at many hospitals and also worked as a travel nurse. She was a member of the Nurses' Association.
Trenda loved reading and doing crossword puzzles. She also liked watching the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football. She enjoyed spending time with Phil and her family.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024, at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A funeral service for Trenda Carol Richards will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024, at the funeral home, Pastor Todd Templeton officiating. Private interment will be held at Logan Valley Cemetery.
