Benjamin Paul Rosser
June 27, 1993 – May 22, 2024

Benjamin Paul Rosser, 30, of Salt Lake City, Utah, formerly of Hollidaysburg, passed away due to an accident on May 22, 2024, while doing what he loved.
He was born in Altoona, son of Lynn T. and Judy A. (Benton) Rosser.
Ben is survived by his loving parents of Hollidaysburg; his adoring sister, Sarah (Anthony) Olivieri of Roaring Spring; and was a very loving uncle to Landon Benjamin and Adalynn Cecilia Olivieri; also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members; and many special friends from Pennsylvania, Utah and across the globe.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; along with other influential and loved family members and a close friend, Shane Holloran.
A 2012 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School, Ben furthered his education at the University of Utah, earning his degree in mechanical engineering in 2017.
He began his career as a facilities engineer for Golden Wolf of Huntingtown, Md., working his way from entry level technician to builder engineer and recently promoted to subject matter engineer.
Ben’s work took him to various countries and islands across the world, leading him to explore and experience great adventures along the way.
An avid outdoorsman and great lover of adventure, Ben had a passion for scuba diving, snowboarding and fishing, especially with his dad and friends. In addition, he enjoyed skate boarding, mountain biking, riding dirt bikes, hunting, camping, hiking, disc golf and board games. He had a soft spot for animals and especially loved dogs.
Ben had a genuine personality, he was fun loving, caring and compassionate. His infectious smile and intoxicating laugh would light up any room he entered. He excelled at connecting with people, making friends with everyone in the room. Above all, Ben loved and cherished his family, which inspired his friends to reach out more to their own families. Friends shared how one of Ben’s best traits was how he made them feel valued and loved.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2024, at The Well of Blair County, 605 Burns Ave., Altoona.
All are welcome to attend a celebration of Ben’s life to be held from noon to
5 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Diamond Lane Farm, 288 Evergreen Lane, Roaring Spring, where a buffet lunch will be held at
12:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service at
1:30 p.m. to include the sharing of stories and reflections of Ben’s life, with a continuation of fellowship to follow (casual dress attire).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Ben’s memory be made to Mending Hearts Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 97, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
