Delores H. “Lori” (Frederick) Dodge, 71, of Duncansville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William R. and Delores J. (McCabe) Frederick.

She married James R. Dodge on Sept. 14, 1996, in Oakland, Md.

Surviving are her husband of 27 years; two daughters, Nicole L. Vance and Jenifer A. Noel and husband, Dave; two sons, Michael and wife, Agnes, and Daniel and wife, Heidi; seven grandchildren: Josh, Emily, Shawn, DJ, Lincoln, Savannah and Austin; a great-grandson, Aiden; six sisters: Jaine Coyne, Pattie Feather, Pam McCulley and husband, John, Theresa Cooney and husband, Ron, Jackie Frederick and Grace Edmonds and husband, Cliff; two brothers, Paul Frederick and wife, Mickie, and Jim Frederick and wife, Jonnie; and special friends: Barb Burns and Ed and Cheryl Yatta.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Shawn and Matthew; a grandson, Dakota; a sister, Bobbi; and a brother, William.

Lori graduated from Altoona Area High School in 1970. She worked for the Duncansville Post Office, Butterick Patterns, and retired from Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc.

Lori was a member of Journey Church and was a lifetime member of Duncansville VFW Auxiliary Post 8724.

Lori enjoyed Pinochle Card Club, rearranging the furniture, spending time with her family and grandchildren, and going on sister trips.

The family extends special thanks to UPMC Family Hospice, Altoona.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 4 p.m., with Pastor Jeremiah Baker officiating.

Private interment at Alto-Reste Park.
