Carl K. Sunderland, 69, of Hastings, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024. He was born in Clearfield County, a son of the late Harry and Georgia (Westover) Sunderland.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Rita (Milchak) Sunderland; children, Erica (Jed) Gibbons of Northern Cambria and Alan (Kara) Sunderland of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; grandchildren: Brennan and Bryce Gibbons and Gunner and Ranger Sunderland; brothers: Guy, Don and Dan Sunderland; sisters: Jean Roue, Janet Selinka, Ruth Lechene and Doris Kurtz; and many nieces and nephews.
Carl retired from Specialty Tires in Indiana, Pa. After retiring, he spent his time gardening, not only at home, but all of the family gardens as well.
His pets and every pet that crossed his path truly brought him joy.
Carl was a member of the Hastings VFW and Fire Club. His jokester, fun-loving personality will be missed by many.
There will be no viewing. Services are private at the convenience of the family.
