Jeanne L. (Mellott) Dicken, 79, passed away Thursday at UPMC Altoona after an extended battle with COPD. She was born in Huntingdon, the daughter of Samuel and Betty Lou (Salkeld) Mellott.
On Sept. 9, 1962, Jeanne married William R. Dicken. They enjoyed 61 amazing years of marriage together.
She is survived by her husband; son, Randy Dicken of Altoona; daughter, Shelli Dicken (Meseydi Machado) in Florida; granddaughters: Timberli Pacifico in Texas and Randi Nicole, Cassidy and Emily of Altoona; great-grandchildren, Dailie and Kingston; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Gracie.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Hicks; daughter, Billie Jeanne Kling; and grandson, Brent William Kling.
She was a 1962 graduate of Central High School.
Upon graduation, she worked at the Pentagon, but Jeanne spent most of her working career as a loss-prevention specialist with her own business, employing her daughter.
Through the years, Jeanne enjoyed camping and boating with friends, bowling, trips to the casinos, Wednesday night Card Club and watching the game show network.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2024, at Alto-Reste Park, 109 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona. Family and friends are welcome to attend the graveside service.
Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
