Christine R. Bradley, 80, Altoona, died Friday at UPMC Altoona following an extended illness. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Ernst and Mary Barbara (Kowalczyk) Fornbacher.
She married Gerald P. Bradley on July 13, 1963, at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, Gerald; a son, Carl R. Bradley (Elke) in North Carolina; 4 daughters: Kathleen Albright of Altoona, Mary Hollern (Michael) of Altoona, Barbara Wilt (Ken) of Duncansville and Denise Bradley (Brian) of Altoona; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Chris was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Theresa, and her son-in-law, David Albright.
Chris retired from Gardners Candies after 8 years as a packer. She was member of St. Mark's Catholic Church. She loved to cook, enjoyed canning and working puzzles, was an avid reader and especially enjoyed spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, by Fr. Nelson Javier T.O.R. Committal will be held at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Chris' memory.
