Regina R. (Riley) Price, 86, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Wednesday at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Pisgah, W.Va., a daughter of the late Kenneth W. and Edna (Stayer) Riley.
On Dec. 15, 1957, she was united in marriage to Harold Price at The Congregational Church in Everett. He preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 2017.
She is survived by children: Ronna Lee Stover, married to Les, of Carlisle; Michael Price, married to Amy, of Hollidaysburg; and April Jo Sell, married to Tom, of Hollidaysburg; grandchildren: Seth A. Stover, married to Rosemary; Austin M. Stover, married to Hannah; Emily M. Price-Lee, married to Tim Lee; Natalie M. Kaminski, married to Andrew; Tyler J. Sell, married to Kaitlyn; Corey M. Sell, married to Jessica; and Nathan R. Sell; great-grandchildren, Greer K. Stover, Reed A. Kaminski, Gwen A. Kaminski, Nolan I. Sell and Rowan A. Sell; and siblings, Juanita Foor and Kenneth Paul Riley.
Regina was a graduate of Everett Southern High School, Class of 1954. She then went on to attend and graduate from Lock Haven State Teachers College in 1958.
After graduation from college, she went on to teach physical education and health at: Hollidaysburg Jr. High School; West Perry High School, where she coached basketball; Logan Jr. High, where she coached track and field and was cheerleading advisor; Keith Jr. High, where she also coached track and field; and finally, Altoona High School, before her retirement in 1996.
She was a member of The First Presbyterian Church in Hollidaysburg.
Regina was also a member of the ChimRock Square and Round Dancing Club and served as Brownie Leader and Girl Scout Leader. She was a member of the Women's Athletic Association at Lock Haven. She and her husband, Harold, mentored many young adults while coaching.
She was the image of an ideal coach's wife, supportive in so many ways. She not only traveled to all the games her husband coached, she served late dinners and fed whoever was at the house at dinner time. Above all, she was a mother to all who knew her. Her life passion was taking care of others, even if it was at her own expense.
Regina was the caregiver for her husband during the last seven years of his life.
She enjoyed camping, cross-stitch, sewing, reading and had a love for traveling.
At Regina's request, all services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
