Polly Ann Detwiler

Polly Ann Detwiler, 81, of Bakers Summit, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday afternoon at home. She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late John and Pauline (Steele) Neff.

She married Warren C. Detwiler Sr. on June 12, 1960, and he died Jan. 21, 2019.

Surviving are four children: Warren Detwiler Jr. "Randy" and wife, Bonnie, of Roaring Spring; Terri Roy and husband, Lee, of Bakers Summit; Daniel Detwiler and wife, Deborah, of Roaring Spring; and Tammy Morral and husband, Byron, of New Enterprise; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren on the way.

She was preceded in death by three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Johnny Neff and Steve Neff.

Polly attended Target One Ministries, Martinsburg.

She was a 1960 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and retired from the Morrison Cove Home as a cook. She was previously employed as a cook at Iron Masters Country Club.

Polly enjoyed playing the piano, horseback riding, crocheting, reading, studying her Bible and loved animals.

Friends will be received from 3 until the 5 p.m. funeral service today, Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024, at Target One Ministries, 3898 Cove Mountain Road, Martinsburg, with Pastor Phil Waite officiating. Interment will be made at Spring Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Polly's memory may be given to either Target One Ministries or Bedford County Humane Society.
