Sandra Jean Anderson, 76, of Roaring Spring, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at home. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Frederick and Jean (Hollingshead) Anderson.
She is survived by two children, Robyn Dixon and husband, Michael, of Roaring Spring and Robert F. Stitt of Hollidaysburg; three grandchildren: Adam, Zachary and Carly; and a sister, Penny Ickes of Altoona.
Sandra was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Roaring Spring, where she had previously served on the church board and sang in the church choir.
She was a 1965 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School and retired from the Altoona Area School District after many years of service.
She loved her cats, knitting, going to the Vault Coffee Shop with her friends, attending Bible Study and attending her grandchildren’s activities.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are by Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sandra’s memory may be given to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
