Donna L. (Newman) Baker, 89, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Thursday at her residence. She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late Walter and Florence (Kautz) Newman. She married Galen L. Baker, who preceded her in death in 1992.
Surviving are: a daughter, Judy A. Stitt of Hollidaysburg; a grandson, R.G. Stitt in Florida; a sister, Kay Chamberlain; and a stepdaughter, Joyce McCorkle.
She was preceded in death by siblings: Dean and Paul Newman, and Marguerite Kachelries.
Donna graduated from Hollidaysburg High School and retired as a rural mail carrier. She also worked as a hairdresser for many years.
Donna was a member of the Chimrock Squares and a life-member of St. John's Reformed Church.
She enjoyed square dancing, playing cards, and water aerobics at the YMCA.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., where a funeral service will immediately follow at 4 p.m. Private interment will be at Presbyterian Cemetery.
