Allen G. "Pete" Anderson, 82, Altoona, passed away Monday at Midtown Oaks Health & Rehab Center, Altoona. He was born in Altoona, the son of Albert G. Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his father; his wife, Donna I. (Ardrey) Anderson; stepmother, Mary E. (Wineland) Anderson; and stepbrother, Daniel T. Gottshall.
Allen attended the Cathedral Grade School and Altoona High School.
He worked for Penn State Altoona as a landscaper and enjoyed supervising many student employees over the years. Allen also enjoyed building model cars and eating at Eat 'n Park.
He was a member of The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, where he participated in the charismatic prayer group.
Friends will be received from 9 until the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, at The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, with Monsignor Stanley Carson as celebrant. Committal will be held at the Cathedral. Inurnment will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Altoona.
