Mark E. Burger, 56, Duncansville, died Tuesday at UPMC Altoona after an extended illness. He was born in Elizabeth, N.J., a son of Joseph Burger and the late Marlene M. (Stulle) Curry.
Surviving is the other half of the dynamic duo, his loving fiancee, Jenn Wojcik; his father, Joe Burger (Shelley); five siblings: Monica Ries, Julia Duke, George Waltsak, Paul Curry and Tina Varhaugvik; several nieces and nephews; and his fur baby, Ajax.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marlene Curry; his Oma, Stella Stulle; and his Opa, George Stulle. Mark is also meeting his fur babies at the rainbow bridge: Eli, Thor, Alpha, Bonzey and Domino.
Mark was a graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School in Washington, D.C. He was previously employed as a bus and limo driver in the D.C. area.
He enjoyed hunting, 80's music, swimming and shooting darts. Mark had a vibrant sense of humor.
Mark was a dual transplant recipient, and his family would like to thank all his medical providers that cared for him over the years.
There will be no public viewing. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, N.J., with his grandparents.
