Lorentz Gerlach Sr.

Lorentz Gerlach Sr., 77, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday at his residence. He was born in Altoona, son of the late George Eisel and Lucy Wicker.
He married Sondra Wicker in 1977.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years; four sons: Lorentz Jr. (Jess), Loren (Rebecca), Lones (Cherrise) and Lance; 11 grandchildren: Kiersten, Alyssa, Lones Jr., Loren Jr., Levi, Haylee, Liam, Luna, Leeon, Luke and Lilly; a brother, Stanford; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Wilson.
Lorentz was a retired truck driver and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Lorentz will be sadly missed by all.
Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Fr. Richard Maher officiating.
