Kathie A. Lutz

She married David Lutz on Aug. 4, 2003.

Mrs. Lutz was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. She retired as an elementary teacher with the Altoona Area School District after 32 years of service.

Mrs. Lutz was a 1972 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a 1980 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. In 1990, she received her master’s equivalency in education.

She was an active volunteer at Juniata Elementary School and the Altoona Food Bank. She was also a former council member at Simpson Temple United Parish, and a former member of the Altoona Women’s Club.

Surviving is her husband, David; her daughter, Lauren (Pannebaker) Sral, and her husband, Eric; a grandson, Mason Charles Sral; and her stepdaughter, Alexandra Lutz of Nashville, Tenn. She is also survived by her sister, Kristine (Croyle) Fraundorfer, and her husband, Dr. William Fraundorfer.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona. A funeral service will immediately follow at noon. Interment will be private at Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
