Ella Jane Imes, age 89, of Altoona, died Wednesday morning at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness. She was born in Everett, daughter of the late Theodore and Mary (Bowman) Ritchey.
Surviving are her husband, Paul E. Imes, whom she married in 1957; a daughter, Linda L. Folcarelli and her husband, James, of Altoona; a granddaughter, Melissa M. Evans and her husband, Samuel, of Duncansville; a great-granddaughter,
Madison Evans and her fiance, Grant Glass; a sister, Marian Smith of Hollidaysburg; two special nieces, Lori Hetrick and Kathy McDonald and her husband, Joe; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister: Ed Ritchey, Blanche Weyant and Bill Ritchey.
Ella was a 1952 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and a member of Reservoir Bible Church.
She had worked as a seamstress in the Martinsburg Sewing Factory and had also worked as an escort for various tour bus companies.
Ella had served as a volunteer poll worker and also volunteered at Morrison Cove Memorial Park.
She loved spending time with her family.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made at Fairview Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring.
