Deborah A. Consiglio, 74, Altoona, passed away Thursday at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center in Martinsburg.
She was born in Altoona, the beloved daughter of Robert and Betty (Partner) Plummer. On May 23, 1970, she married her best friend, Anthony "Sonny" Consiglio of Hollidaysburg, in a union that spanned 53 remarkable years and was enriched with beautiful memories.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children, Todd Consiglio and his wife, Season, of Altoona and Jaimee Consiglio of Altoona. Her nurturing spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her four grandchildren: Tevin, Xavier, Vincent and Samuel, whom she adored. In addition to her immediate family, Deborah is survived by three siblings: Thomas Plummer, Susan Hughes and her husband, David, Robert and his wife, Charlotte; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws who held a special place in her heart.
Deb was a 1967 graduate of Altoona Area High School. Throughout her life, she worked different retail jobs in addition to raising her children.
Deborah's life was marked by her steadfast faith. She was a devoted member of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, Altoona, for many years. Recently, she and Anthony found spiritual fulfillment at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Hollidaysburg, where they often attended.
Beyond her commitment to family and faith, Deborah reveled in the simple joys of life. She was an avid reader, a dedicated shopper and a fan of popular television shows. Her fondest moments were often spent with her family, especially during their cherished trips to Ocean City and Rehoboth beaches. As the matriarch of her family, Deborah's nurturing presence created an atmosphere of warmth and love that will forever be etched in the hearts of those she held dear.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation hours from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023, at St. Michael's Church, 301 Spruce St., Hollidaysburg. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m., honoring Deborah's life and celebrating the joy she brought to those around her. Following the Mass, a graveside committal service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Deborah's memory to St. Vincent de Paul, P.O. Box 231, Altoona, PA 16603.
