Ruth M. Feltenberger

Ruth M. Feltenberger, 88, of Altoona, peacefully passed away Thursday at Guardian Healthcare, Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Horace and Florence (Kelly) Fetters.

On June 30, 1956, she married the love of her life, Raymond Feltenberger, who preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 2014.

Ruth is survived by her two children, Steven and Sharon (Bob), both of Altoona; her granddaughter, Jennifer; and two special friends, Robin and Rhelda.

She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth; and three siblings: Virginia, Ken and Jean.

Throughout her life, Ruth held various factory jobs and, most recently, worked at Dunkin Donuts as a hostess, a position she loved.

She was a dedicated and lifelong member of the First Church of Christ Church in Altoona.

Ruth found joy in many hobbies, including: crossword puzzles, painting and reading romantic books. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, and her only granddaughter held a special place in her heart.

Ruth will be remembered for her loving nature, her devotion to her family and her zest for life. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories that will forever be held dear by those who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Monday, July 3, 2023, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona. Pastor John Collins will officiate. Interment will be private at Alto Reste Park in Altoona.
