Marjorie "Margie" Forshey, 86, of Erlanger, Ky., passed away June 20, 2023.
Margie was born in New Enterprise, the daughter of Maggie and Edwin Davis.
She graduated from Altoona High School, and being a woman of strong faith in Christ, she sang in the church choir and was able to be part of a televised church event.
Margie accepted employment at a shoe factory where she met her future spouse, Harold Forshey. After two years of dating, the two were married on July 3, 1960. Two days later, the newlyweds drove across the country to begin their life together in Los Angeles, Calif., and start a family.
Margie enjoyed hobbies of cooking, canning, coloring books and sewing -- from just replacing a button to making an entire dress. She never turned down a trip to the store or an afternoon car ride. She loved cats, yellow roses, any shade of pink, good food and anything that sparkled.
She was a hard worker with a warm heart, a quick wit and a great sense of humor.
Forever in our hearts, she will never be forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Lanatte Forshey.
Margie is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Harold "Hal" Forshey; a daughter, Angelee "Angie" (Will) Amussen; a son, Rodney (Andrea) Forshey; grandchildren: Abigail Amussen, Mathew Brisse, Nicole Forshey and Sara Forshey; and a host of other family members and friends.
