Joel E. Scritchfield, 53, of Altoona, died Tuesday evening at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Roaring Spring, the son of Nancy L. (Croft) Scritchfield and the late John C. Scritchfield.
He married Terressa Keithley in May 1997.
Surviving are his mother of Roaring Spring; his wife of Altoona; a daughter, Brittany; and a stepson, Corey.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Johnathan.
Joel was a 1989 graduate of Central High School.
He had previously worked at Giant Eagle in Roaring Spring and Altoona.
Joel enjoyed volunteering on the ambulance and riding motorcycles.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring.
