Richard A. "Rick" Morgan, 55, of Altoona, died Friday from a senseless act of violence in South Fork. He was born in Norristown, son of Elizabeth Chamberlin and the late Orville W. Morgan. He married Lee Ann Beckwith on April 7, 2000, in Altoona.
Surviving are his wife, Lee Ann, of 23 years; two daughters, Amanda Morgan and Ciara Beckwith; three sons: Richard Morgan, Dustin (Heather) Beckwith and Aric Beckwith; three sisters: Peg (Bob) Dodson, Bessie (Tim) Quarello and May Morgan; three brothers: Bill Morgan, John (Sandy) Morgan and Calvin (Cathy) Morgan; eight grandchildren: Anthony, Angelica, Dominic, Amandraya, Blade, Jamie, Axel and Stefan; his adopted parents, Tom and Emily Simpson; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary and Ginny; and one brother, Frank.
Rick was the owner/operator of Ebersole Auto Sales in Altoona for many years. He enjoyed hunting, camping, casinos and spending time with family and friends.
Rick was taken from this world way too soon but he will never be forgotten.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the Anthony P. Scaglione Funeral Home, 1908 Seventh Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will take place at 3:30 p.m. by Rev. Elizabeth Hess.
