Gail L. Keith, 81, of Martinsburg, was called home by the Lord shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, May 9, 2023, at Homewood at Martinsburg. She was born in Altoona, the eldest daughter of the late Kenneth P. and Helen G. (Cogan) Holt of New Enterprise.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl A., in 1967.
Surviving are a daughter, Amy C. of Winona Lake, Ind.; two sons, Rodger K. and Justin C.; and grandchildren, Austin and Kaylee Keith, all of Martinsburg. A grandson, Ryan Keith, also survives in North Carolina.
A graduate of Elizabethtown College, Gail taught in the Williamsburg and Spring Cove school districts for 18 years.
She graduated from the Mount Aloysius College nursing program and was licensed as a registered nurse in 2004. She retired from Hollidaysburg Veterans Home as a registered nurse due to health reasons in 2007.
A member of Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church, she worked in the children's department. She loved serving the Lord and her family.
At her request, a committal service was conducted privately at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg, with Daniel Horton officiating.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Encompass World Partners through the Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church (www.encompassworldpartners.org); or to Way Truth Life Radio, (www.WTLR.org) in State College, from which she drew great inspiration and enjoyment.
