Gloria S. Owens, 91, of Tyrone, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday. She was born in Tyrone, daughter of the late Clarence and Tillie (Woodle) Walk.
On April 19, 1949, in Bald Eagle, she married Charles E. DeArment, who preceded her in death Oct. 13, 1996. She was later married to Paul L. Owens on May 6, 1998, in Bald Eagle. He preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 2004.
Surviving is a son, Eugene (Patti) DeArment; two daughters, Dawn Ormsby and Holly Joy DeArment; six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three siblings: Robert and John Walk and Beverly Sprankle; and a son-in-law, Sidney Ormsby.
Gloria attended Tyrone Area High School. She was a member of Bald Eagle United Methodist Church and the Women's Society.
She enjoyed her dogs, listening to country music, gardening and flowers, singing and dancing and watching birds. Gloria loved her family most of all and spending time with them.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, April 7, 2023, at Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone; and from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park.
