Virginia Mae "Peggy" (Fornwalt) Clapper, 96, James Creek, died Tuesday. She was born in East Freedom, daughter of the late Harry and Malinda (Riley) Fornwalt. Surviving are her husband, George; and children: William, Thomas and Michael Clapper, Linda Stubler and Paula Lentz. She was also predeceased by siblings: Dean, Jay, Harry, Fred and Betty Fornwalt; and two infant grandsons. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, at Akers Funeral Chapel, Saxton; and from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at St Paul's United Church of Christ, 18829 Raystown Road, James Creek.
