Anthony J. DiFolco

May 13, 1954 – April 10, 2022

Anthony J. DiFolco, 67, Sinking Valley, died unexpectedly on the morning of Palm Sunday at UPMC Altoona.

Anthony was an adoring husband to his wife, Joyce (Trexler). They were married for 48 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis DiFolco and Antoinette “Doris” (Gelormino); and his brother, Richard “Dick” (Jenny) DiFolco, of Altoona.

Surviving are his daughters, Christine (David) Fernandes and Annie DiFolco, both of Tyrone; and his brother, Dennis (Kathy) DiFolco, of Geeseytown. He was the grandfather of four grandchildren: Brando, Rocco, Myria and Alita; and excited for the arrival of his first great-grandchild, due in October.

He was a graduate of Altoona Area High School Class of 1972.

Anthony retired from Norfolk Southern Corp. in 2000, where he worked as a welder and painter. He had his own painting business in the 1990s, A&J Painting, with partner John McCready. Together they painted many Altoona area homes, churches and businesses.

He loved life and his country home, and was a good friend to anyone who needed his help. Anthony spent his days cutting firewood, mowing the yard, cruising Sinking Valley on his motorcycle, taking care of their donkeys, Louie and Carlos, and being with Joyce.

Anthony laughed and loved easily. His family will forever miss him.

Friends will be received from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Santella Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will follow visitation at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. A memorial dinner will follow at a later date.
