Carol G. Yeager

Carol G. Yeager, 83, Antis Township, died Thursday morning at her home. She was born in Marklesburg, daughter of the late John Garner and Dorothy (Sorge) Amigh.
On June 21, 1958, she married Darryl Ray Yeager at Eighth Avenue Methodist Church, Altoona. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2018.
Surviving are three sons: Kenton Lee (Casey James) of Knoxville, Tenn.; Bryan Todd (Theresa Ganley) of McConnellsburg; and Aaron Quinn (Sonya Launi) of Altoona; a daughter, Dawn Elaine (Roy) Amrhein of Bellwood; four grandchildren: Roy Gene Amrhein, Aaron Tyler Mentzer, Brynn Carol and Jamison Quinn Yeager; three great-grandchildren: Benjamin Roy, Clara Ann and Vayda Grace Amrhein; a brother, John Garner of Newark, Del.; and a sister, Shirley Zwicker of Glenn Mills.
Carol was a 1957 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired as an insurance agent with Prudential Insurance Co. after 23 years of service. She also had worked at Sunrise Floral and Gifts, Altoona, and assisted her husband with his wooden toy business.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood, and a former member of Bellwood Antis Farm Show Committee and Blair County Guild of Craftsmen.
Carol enjoyed growing flowers and reading, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2022, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with Norman Saylor officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
