Bonnie L. Watson

Bonnie L. Watson, 85, a resident of Homewood at Martinsburg, formerly of Hollidaysburg, passed away Monday at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. She was born in Hopewell, daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Mildred (Shauf) Kensinger. On May 26, 1956, she married Eugene F. Watson at Lakemont United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband; two sons: Rusty Watson (Donna) of State College and Vernon Watson (Courtney) of West Chester; a daughter, Leslie Yannitelli (John) of Altoona; four grandchildren: Jessica Perlozzo, Jenna Scanlon, Benjamin Watson and Sophie Watson; four great-grandchildren: Mason and Maria Perlozzo and Gabriel and Jacob Scanlon; and a brother, Benjamin Kensinger (Jean) of Homewood. She was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Smith.
Bonnie was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and Shadyside Hospital School of Nursing. She retired as a registered nurse at the Van Zandt VA Medical Center, after 30 years of service.
Bonnie was a member of Lakemont United Methodist Church, where she had previously played the organ, and the Rincon Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening and painting.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, at Lakemont United Methodist Church, with Jackie Clabaugh, CLM officiating.
Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
Arrangements are by Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg.
