Kathy Eileen (Burk) Russell, 68, Hollidaysburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Gayle R. and Lillian M. (Shade) Burk.
She married Calvin Russell on Nov. 6, 1999.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 22 years, Calvin; a stepson, Bryan and his wife, Lisa, in Ohio; a godson, Noah Sponsler, of Hollidaysburg; a sister, Karen Lynn, and husband, Ronald, in Florida; a sister-in-law, Pat Malone, in Texas; two nieces, Tina Bologna, in New Jersey and Tracy Grum, of Pittsburgh; several great-nieces and great-nephews; many close and loving friends and her loyal Dream Restaurant family.
She graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1971. She was the owner/operator of The Dream Restaurant, Hollidaysburg.
Kathy attended Grace Bible Church, Hollidaysburg.
She was a caring and loving mother to her Westie babies: Lacy, Ellie, Libby and Gracie. Kathy had a passion for working in the Dream bakery.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022, at Grace Bible Church, Hollidaysburg. Pastor Daren Ritchey officiating. Interment at Alto-Reste Park.
