Jeremy Charles Sivits, 42, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Sunday at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center. He was born in Jonesboro, Ark., the son of Freda "Sissy" (Morris) Sivits and the late Daniel W. Sivits. He married Holly L. Lohr on Nov. 30, 2002, at Point Church of the Brethren, Schellsburg.
He is survived by his wife; his children, James and Madalynn; and his mother, all of Martinsburg. He will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew him.
He was an active member of the Bare Memorial Church of God, Roaring Spring, where he was the Youth Director and church softball coach. He was happy to help with anything he could.
Jeremy was a graduate of Hyndman Area High School. He played many sports, including soccer and baseball. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America in the Hyndman area when he was younger, along with his mother. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Army. He served as a mechanic with the 372nd Military Police Company Reserves out of Cresaptown, Md. He was deployed on a peace keeping mission in Bosnia, in which he supported the 10th Mountain Division during August 2001 to March 2002 and Iraq in 2002.
He worked at Creative Pultrusions Inc., Hunter Douglas, Cumberland Concrete, L.B. Foster, and Cove Forge. Jeremy also volunteered and coached with Spring Cove Youth Baseball, Spring Cove Youth Softball, Central Youth Football and AYSO Soccer.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2022, in the Bare Memorial Church of God, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, by Pastor Steve DiBiase. Arrangements are by the Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring.
