Kenneth L. Blackie, 86, of Altoona, died Monday at UPMC Altoona. He was a son of the late George and Hilda Blackie.
Surviving are his son, Kenny Blackie Jr. (Susan); daughters: Susan and Karen Blackie, Kelly Gunsallus and Shelly Shultz (Doug); a stepdaughter, Wendy Odey; brothers, Alan and Robert Blackie; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly; daughter, Pam Blackie; nine siblings; and his beloved dog, Tiny.
Kenneth enjoyed hunting, woodworking and being outdoors. He could often be found out in the woods searching for the perfect firewood for splitting.
He was a mechanic and delivered newspapers for the Altoona Mirror for more than 35 years.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, at Alto-Reste Park, 109 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
